Actuarial Science (BSc/BA)

A four-year, 120 credit-hour undergraduate degree (offered as BSc or BA) in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Science, that teaches students to analyze risk and uncertainty in financial contexts, blending mathematics, statistics, economics and computer science (calculus, linear algebra, probability, theory of interest, actuarial models, life contingencies, predictive analytics) and preparing graduates for Society of Actuaries (SOA) exams and careers as actuaries, risk analysts/consultants, or insurance underwriters. Program options include Honours, Combined Honours, Major, Double Major, Minor, and a Post-baccalaureate diploma.

Secondary school completion (Grade 12) with a minimum overall average of 75%. (Meeting the minimum average does not guarantee admission, as the program is competitive.)
Academic English 12 and Pre-calculus Math 12 (or equivalents), plus three additional academic Grade 12 subjects.
