Air and Space Law (Graduate Certificate)

A postgraduate certificate programme in your chosen destination.

A 15-credit, coursework-only Graduate Certificate offered by the Institute of Air and Space Law within McGill's Faculty of Law, intended for students (often practicing professionals/jurists) with a strong professional orientation toward aviation and space law. Students complete 9 required credits in Air and Space Law (Public International Air Law, Private International Air Law, International Space Law) plus 6 complementary credits of 500-level or higher law courses, normally within one term of full-time residence (exceptionally extendable to two terms with Associate Dean permission). Admission is Fall-term only.

Candidates for admission to McGill's graduate law programs must possess a Bachelor of Laws degree (or an equivalent law degree, such as LL.B. or J.D.) from an accredited university, with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0/4.0 or its equivalent (upper second class). (Faculty of Law states graduate certificate requirements are essentially the same as for the LL.M. programs.)
For admission to the Graduate Certificate programs (including Air and Space Law), greater weight may be placed on the applicant's professional experience than for the LL.M./D.C.L. programs. Two reference letters from academic referees.

Application must be submitted through McGill's online graduate application system by the December 1 deadline; the Faculty of Law will not consider applications received on or after December 2, and offers Fall term admission only (no Winter or Summer entry).
