Dalhousie's Faculty of Agriculture (Truro/Agricultural Campus) offers an MSc in Agriculture and a separate PhD in Agricultural Sciences (the first doctoral degree in agricultural sciences in Atlantic Canada). The MSc is a thesis-based program (~2–2.5 years) requiring a four-year bachelor's degree, minimum 3.0/4.3 GPA in the last two years, prior research experience (typically), a confirmed thesis supervisor before application, and completion of a minimum of four graduate courses including AGRI5700. 2026–27 tuition is $11,303/year (domestic programme fee) with international students paying an additional $8,079/year international tuition fee (total ~$19,382/year). Standard Faculty of Graduate Studies English proficiency requirements (IELTS 7.0, TOEFL iBT 92/4.5, CAEL 70, PTE 65, MET 64) apply, with a waiver possible for prior study at a recognized English-medium institution in a majority English-speaking country.
